The View from Here

Now it's more like the view from there. In other words, the place we had to leave (unfortunately.)

We had such a nice, relaxing weekend at my parent's house. We intended to leave Thursday right after school, but I haven't been feeling well all week, had laundry everywhere, and felt disorganized. So we opted to leave Friday morning. Even then, we got a later start than intended, but chose not to feel rushed or stressed. We took our time and had a nice drive up.

Friday night we sat around the pool, talked and laughed over pizza and cupcakes and cookie cake. Only one of my sisters (out of 4 siblings) made it, but it was kind of nice to be able to focus on a few people than cram in the entire group. Saturday we enjoyed lunch with my brother, sister-in-law and new(ish) niece, Avery, before heading to see Hop with my sister and her three kids.

We had to come back Saturday afternoon to be here for church today. We were barely there for 24 hours, but it was still a really nice trip! Can't wait to go back!

Comments are my love language. Along with Dr. Pepper, pizza, The Office, the color lime green, pumpkin muffies, hot chocolate...But the only one of those that's free is comments! So you're getting off easy if you leave me one (or two or three!)
